PAPEMP is a first generation water treatment agent with high chelation dispersion performance, high calcium tolerance, and excellent scale inhibition performance. This agent can be used as a scale and corrosion inhibitor for circulating cooling water systems, especially suitable for high hardness, high alkalinity, and high pH circulating cooling water systems and oilfield water treatment. The scale inhibition performance of calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and calcium sulfate is excellent, and it can effectively inhibit the formation of silicon scale, and has a good stabilizing effect on metal ions such as zinc, manganese, and iron.

PAPEMP is used as a membrane scale inhibitor for reverse osmosis systems, as well as scale and corrosion inhibitors for high salt content, high turbidity, and high-temperature systems such as multi-stage flash evaporation systems (such as scale inhibitors for high-temperature and high turbidity water systems in coal gasification systems). It is also used as a textile printing and dyeing additive and a papermaking additive (yellowing inhibitor), and can replace EDTA, DTPA, NTA, and other additives.
