Performance and purpose:

Isothiazolinone is mainly composed of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one (CIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one (MIT). Isothiazolinone has a killing effect by breaking the bonds between bacterial and algal proteins. After contact with microorganisms, isothiazolidone can rapidly and irreversibly inhibit their growth, leading to the death of microbial cells. Therefore, it has a strong inhibitory and killing effect on common bacteria, fungi, algae, etc. High killing efficiency, good biodegradability, no residue generation, safe operation, good compatibility, strong stability, and low usage cost. Can be miscible with chlorine and most anionic, cationic, and non-ionic surfactants. At high doses, there is a significant effect on the detachment of biological sludge.

Isothiazolinone is a broad-spectrum, efficient, low toxicity, and non oxidizing biocide. The factory is widely used in industries such as oil fields, papermaking, pesticides, cutting oils, leather, inks, dyes, and leather making.

Usage:

When using isothiazolinone type 2 products as clay stripping agents, a concentration of 150-300mg/L is added; When using as a bactericide, it should be added every 3-7 days at a dosage of 80-100mg/L. It can be used together with oxidizing bactericides such as chlorine gas and cannot be used in cooling water systems containing sulfides. The best effect is to use it in combination with quaternary ammonium salts.

When used as an industrial antibacterial and anti enrichment agent, the general concentration is 0.05-0.4%.

Packaging and storage:

Isothiazolidone is packaged in plastic drums, with a weight of 25kg per drum or determined according to user requirements; Store in a cool indoor place with a storage period of ten months.

Safety and Protection:

Isothiazolidone is corrosive to the skin and can cause skin burns, causing allergic dermatitis that can last for several hours. It is strictly prohibited to come into contact with the skin and eyes. When operating, protective goggles and rubber gloves should be worn. If in contact with the skin, immediately remove contaminated clothing and shoes, rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, apply urea acetate ointment or burn ointment to the affected area, and seek medical attention immediately.
