Chemical fungicides

Multiple chemical substances can be used as disinfectants and/or preservatives. Due to its increasing quantity and variety, careful selection should be made based on its specific use.

Many chemicals work faster and better at temperature. But at the same time, higher temperatures will accelerate its volatilization and degradation. Therefore, in tropical regions, the shelf life of chemical fungicides may be shortened due to high room temperatures. Special attention should be paid to the use and storage of these chemicals.

Many fungicides are harmful to humans or the environment and should be carefully selected, stored, operated, used, and discarded according to the manufacturer's instructions. For personal safety, it is recommended to wear gloves, aprons, and goggles when diluting chemical disinfectants.

Chemical disinfectants are generally not used for daily cleaning of floors, walls, equipment, and furniture. However, it can be used to control disease outbreaks.

The correct use of chemical fungicides can ensure the safety of the experimental site and reduce the risk of infectious substances. From the perspectives of economy, inventory control, environmental pollution control, etc., the dosage of chemical fungicides should be controlled as much as possible.

The following introduces several commonly used chemical fungicides and lists their general uses and safety characteristics. Unless otherwise specified, the concentration of fungicides is expressed in weight/volume (w/V). The following table summarizes the recommended concentrations of chlorine containing disinfectants.
