Reverse osmosis technology is one of the more mature technologies in water treatment desalination. In the design and use process, different processes of reverse osmosis water treatment systems have been formed by combining actual situations and the needs of different water users. If the process design is incomplete, the operation is improper, or the addition of chemicals is not compatible with water, it can lead to a decrease in the water production and quality of the reverse osmosis system, and even cause serious damage to the reverse osmosis membrane components. Therefore, the protection of components is particularly important in the entire system design and operation of reverse osmosis.


Reverse osmosis technology is a physical desalination technology that utilizes natural permeation phenomena to exert osmotic pressure greater than that of raw water. Through selective permeable semi permeable membranes, insoluble substances in raw water are separated from most salts and water molecules. As fresh water continues to penetrate the membrane, salts and insoluble substances gradually concentrate. As the concentration factor increases, some insoluble salts may scale. To prevent such scaling, a scale inhibitor dispersant is added to the reverse osmosis inlet water to inhibit the generation of scale. Therefore, choosing good compatibility and a good process for selecting scale and corrosion inhibitors is an important issue. Reverse osmosis scale inhibitors are developed specifically for reverse osmosis systems. They are effective scale inhibitors and inhibitors that prevent insoluble substances or salts from scaling on the membrane surface, thereby improving water production and quality systems, and reducing operating costs.
